Kevin McNicholas started creating this piece in October 2020. It was finish in time to honor the amazing legend that was Ayrton Senna. Kevin released the painting on the anniversary of his death on May 2021.
Kevin chose to paint this portrait of Ayrton Senna as he wanted to pay tribute to his favourite driver in his own unique way. Having already painted Senna driving the Williams FW16 he wanted to take this opportunity to test his skills as an artist. Kevin wanted to see if he could capture Senna’s likeness in a portrait.
